How many dogs do you walk at any one time?
We walk up to a maximum of 3 dogs at a time (from no more than 2 different households). This is to ensure the safety of the dogs and their dog walker. Unlike other dog walking services, The Walking Dogs do not provide group or pack walks. However, if you would like your dog to socialise, we can provide buddy-up walks and play sessions. What is a buddy-up walk?
A buddy-up walk is a great opportunity for your dog to socialise with other dogs. We match personalities and energy levels so your dogs have the best time playing and exploring the world together. The buddy-up walks can accommodate up to 3 dogs (from no more than 2 different households).
What is a play session?
A play session is a great way for your dog to burn off some energy and socialise with other dogs. The play sessions take place once a week in a secure dog walking field and can accommodate up to 4 dogs. The play sessions last 1 hour and your dogs will have a great time chasing each other and playing ball as well as treat hunting games. We will safely transport your dog(s) to and from the session.
Do you walk dogs off lead?
Yes, but only if we have the owner's written permission and it's safe for us to do so.
Where do the walks take place?
Your dog will be walked locally where possible to avoid transportation - most dogs aren't fans of travelling in the car and find it stressful. If you would like for your dog to be walked in a certain location then we can arrange it upon request. Our vehicle is fully equipped to safely transport dogs.
How much notice do you require for bookings?
We require at least 24 hours notice for dog walking bookings but can accommodate last minute requests if our diary allows us to do so. We will require at least 2 weeks notice for pet/house sitting bookings - ideally, you should give us a call as soon as you have booked your travel arrangements.
What are your opening hours?
Mon - Fri 8AM-6PM
Sat/Sun - appointments available upon request
Bank Holidays - appointments available upon request
How do I pay for your services?
You will receive an invoice via email at the end of every calendar month. The invoices are payable via bank transfer.
